We have just returned from a 3 night break in this fabulous B&B... Mark and Emma were fantastic hosts,and went out of their way to make our stay truly enjoyable, I can only drink decaf tea and coffee,and both were duly put in our room on the tea tray when I asked, The house is so cosy and really homely,I...

My husband & I stayed with our 3 dogs for 1 night, it's more that a your standard B&B it was very home from home, they have a big lounge for guests to use, complimentary drinks if you fancy a glass of wine or baileys..we stayed in Coleridge room which had a huge comfy bed, nice small ensuite,tea & coffee...

We came here on the 4th September and did lots of visits,walks and enjoyed super meals at The Queens Head.Have been coming here to the Lakes for 30 years and The Od Schoolhouse is one of the nicest places we have stayed.! Lovely owners,Mark and Emma and super breakfasts. A peaceful and home from home atmosphere.(our dog loved it too!)...

We are here at the moment - myself, my son and the dog. Firstly, Hawkshead is very dog friendly, everywhere (shops, pubs, cafes -except the chocolate factory) welcomes dogs which was fantastic for us as our dog is very needy! Stayed here for two nights in August, absolutely lovely place, in a gorgeous village, very quaint, rooms very clean, no smell of any dogs even though there were a few staying, comfy large beds. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day, Emma and Mark are doing a great job will have to return and hope the weather...

We only had a brief overnight stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is a tastefully restored 18th century headmaster's house. We had a warm welcome from our hosts. Lovely location, comfortable rooms, amazingly friendly hosts, cracking breakfast FIRST CLASS! Location right in the village, parking at the door, dogs welcome, quaint well kept grounds and little garden for dogs. Loads of lovely period features. Guests sitting room and bar. Belter.
