Stayed here for two nights at the weekend, and absolutely loved it. We had room 9 which gave us enough room to move about and fit all of our stuff , and we had a beautiful view of the hills. Only thing I can say about the room is my phone would not pick up the wifi but my laptop...

Just back from our weekend in the Lakes and we loved it. Lakeland House is situated on a quiet side street off the main street running through Coniston village. It's a modern looking building, somewhat at odds with the local architecture but don't let that put you off! It's a very tastefully styled B&B with large windows giving you lovely...

I stayed here for my birthday with my fiancée and we checked in just after lunch. This was my second visit to Lakeland house as I'd stayed here in around 2005/6 and I was pleasantly given an upgrade from a budget double room to a superior room without even asking! This was a very welcome surprise and an lovely birthday...

Lovely guest house set in the heart of Coniston centre, less than a minute from pubs/restaurants/shops .The hotel is very much as described and shown on the company's website. I stayed two nights with my wife in room nine. The room was fairly small (as described/expected) but did not pose any problems, the en suite bathroom was really nice and...

Just back from a lovely long weekend in Coniston, we stayed at Lakeland house, and we enjoyed our stay there. We had the suite at the top , which had 2 rooms and a bathroom, and was perfect for us and our 2 daughters. Our room had a bath in the corner, which was a nice feature. Both rooms had...

Every year I go for a walking weekend with my good friends of many years, who enjoy each others company and the chance to taste some local real ales and good food. For the second time in three years, we decided to visit the Lakes and one of our group chanced upon this excellent small Boutique hotel. It is very...

really pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Fantastic high standard spec in the bathrooms. The beds were very comfy and our room was sufficient - friends had the "superior" room on the 1st floor which was much more spacious. Great café attached next door where we enjoyed coffee and scones and the next morning we ordered sandwiches to take on...

My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The best thing was, how central it was. We found an ideal parking space on the road right outside. Our room (no 9), had a perfect view of Coniston Old Man. It was small but cosy we thought. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, but I wasn't over...
