From the moment we arrived on Monday afternoon we were made to feel at home by Jonathan and the team. We received a warm welcome, a hearty breakfast each morning, a lovely meal night one and our 2 bed cottage was very comfortable with a great view over the lake. There is so much to do locally from walking to cycling to go-ape and we enjoyed some of the eateries and cafes in Coniston. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

We spent a week here, first in The Stables then in The Loft while walking the southern part of The Cumbria Way and exploring the area. Both are comfortable and well equipped with wonderful views especially from The Stables. We took advantage of the restaurant chef providing food to the accommodation and this was much appreciated after a full day's walking. We enjoyed being so close to the water front and took advantage of the availability of canoe hire. We stayed for 1 week but could easily have stayed for longer. This was our first 'Covid holiday' and it did not disappoint. Thank you Jonathan

The Barn at Bank Ground Farm, Lake Conniston. We stayed from 07 to 14 August 2020. The Barn’s facilities, food Supplied by the Restaurant and weather were amazing. It was a memorable stay in an idyllic location. Jonathan and all the staff were very so helpful and we all enjoyed a family holiday full of simple pleasures; walking, boating and watching the kids jump in the lake. Happy memories for us all to keep and share. 😀

You couldn't wish for a better location in the Lakes - just superb views and direct access to Coniston Water. The food is really good and the best in the area as we discovered when we ventured out into Coniston. The beds are really comfortable and good quality linen etc which made our stay all the better. The en-suite bathroom was not up to much as the rooms are small in the house but served it's purpose. We took our dog and were told before we came that he would have to stay in the kennel as dogs are not allowed anywhere in the house at all at anytime. If your dog is used to kennels then this would be fine, but if not it is a bit of a shock when you see them. Some of the staff were a bit stressed about current circumstances which passed onto the customers. It is tough times but in other places we stayed during our holiday we didn't experience that.
