We stayed over one Saturday night with the in laws and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in the middle of town with a good car park. The building itself is classical and stylish with a lovely spiral staircase. The cooked breakfast was exceptional served promptly on hot plates. So often at some hotels food is served on...

What a beautiful place this was to stay. The bed was really comfortable... the water for the shower and just the normal taps came out really hot which was perfect. But the food was absolutely amazing... we only had breakfast but that came out piping hot. So overall it was well worth the £80 for 2 nights!! Thank you very...

My cousins and I enjoyed our second family reunion here. The hotel was very comfortable with lovely, hot breakfasts and an impressive array of home made jams. The meal at night was good - a shame the restaurant wasn't open on Sunday evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful and when I was suddenly taken off to hospital offered...

We stayed here for New Years Eve on our travels round the Lakes. Arrived round about check in time. Had booked through Booking.com and assumed that we had a double room as nothing to say otherwise on the booking. It was a twin. OK - fine. Very warm welcome from Scottish lady and younger chap. Felt at home. Room a...

We really enjoyed our stay at Manor house, very clean, comfy and friendly place. The only thing that let us down is the fact that they took the payment off us twice! When my partner called and let them know the lady on the phone was lovely and apologetic but 4 days later the money was still being taken. Unfortunately...

The Manor House Hotel is very conveniently situated on the main street of Cockermouth. Ample free parking. Very friendly and efficient staff. Obviously well trained. We booked for three nights. We could only get a twin room unfortunately, but is was well equipped and very clean despite being rather smaller than we are used to. We were room only and...

Only a one night stay but we had a nice time. Unfortunately we could only get a twin room and the beds were quite small and slightly hard. However the room was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice. And the staff all very friendly

Booked this hotel after finding ones in the lakes very expensive and thought this would be a good base and that it was. We got held up and were running late and got a lovely call from Kane at the hotel to make sure everything was ok. On arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Kane and Carol Ann...

Me and the wife stayed here last week and it was just as expected. We got a great welcome from a Scottish lady who was genuinely just a nice person and chatted to us about the hotel and location. Our room was fab, overlooking the car park with 2 large chairs and a comfy bed. The think I liked about...
