Excellent Staff, Really good location - minutes from the Lake District.
Cockerrmouth a short drive away and Keswick around 15 - 20mins away.
Staff very attentive and food excellent - BIG, I mean..... BIG Portions.... And Yummee too.

A privately owned old mansion house set in its own grounds in a peaceful location. Car park was away from the entrance and partly hidden which maintained the rural appearance.
The room was larger than the norm with period features but a modern bathroom.
My wife and I had the very enjoyable two night break at this hotel (Thursday/Friday).
Room very pleasant, well apportioned bathroom, exceptionally clean and welcoming.
Ate in the restaurant both evenings. Thursday was Carvery Night. Excellent meal, large portions, well cooked.
