A excellent b&b. The owner was very informative when you wanted to know about things to do. Very pleasant. The hotel was situated close to all the amenities . Food and room was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. if you like walking long or short walks this is the place to go. Many thanks Bill & shirley Lockett

Stayed at the Wanslea for Halloween weekend, and I must say it was one of most pleasant experiences we have encountered in the Lakes. Spotless room, stocked each day with tea, coffee and mints. Richard and his staff could not do enough for us, from giving us extra towel's to helping us pick what to do on our non-walking day's....

What a lovely, homely guesthouse run by the awesome Richard who was chatty, welcoming and light hearted. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay in Ambleside. Room was clean, characteristic, freshly stocked each day with tea (herbal too which was ideal), biscuits, fresh towels, bedding. TV with free view, Wifi which always worked! Really felt like we...

Booked last minute for 1 night. Warm welcome from the owners and shown to our lovely Arabian themed room, which was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast to start the next day. Highly recommend staying at this b&b, great value for money and great location for visiting the beautiful village, Ambleside.

Our dogs really love it here as Richard makes sure they each get a cooked sausage every morning. Richard and his wife keep the place very clean and make a...

We have just been down to have our full English breakfast and about to go walking. We have already mentioned that we would like to come back...

We have just returned from a 2 day stay at Wanslea Guest House and must say this place is perfect and good value for money. We stayed on the top floor (No 6) and found the room just ideal for our needs, spotlessly clean with an adequate en suite with it being the top of the house...Richard, the host was...
