Great place. Clean, spacious room with a fabulous Jacuzzi bath. Very Central near to the shops and many restaurants. Great views. Breakfast was lovely including delicious waffles, lovely fresh bread, fresh fruit with yogurt and cold meats and cheese. Friendly, welcoming staff.

Stayed at the Brathay Lodge with my two sons for a lads waking holiday. We had a family room with access onto a rear terrace with great views, it had great beds and was clean warm and comfortable. Breakfast was a continental buffet style, with good coffee and everything you would need before a days walking. The staff were friendly...

Stayed here again and the quality just keeps on improving. Right in the centre of Ambleside, very pleasant, clean room and a wonderful (continental) breakfast, with a wide range of choice, especially the fruit! Loved the jacuzzi bath which refreshed the body after a good walk. Staff very pleasant & helpful.

The brathay lodge was really a lovely place to stay for a night. We stayed in a family room which was more than big enough for 2 adults, a child and a travel cot. Rooms were really clean and the continental breakfast had a really good choice.

Thank you for such an excellent review all feedback is greatly appreciated. Glad the large family room to your liking and that the cleanliness continues to be maintained. Regarding the continental buffet breakfast we are aware that it caters for the majority of our guests and offers something different to the norm so to speak! We hope that you'll visit...

Received a really great welcome and the room was really clean, spacious and nothing was too much trouble. We were fine with not having a cooked breakfast as it is so close to lots of options in town. Can understand peoples comments on this but read the offer when you book? We had a room only rate and would go...
