I have visited Ambleside for many years and stayed in many rentals in the village. I love the peace and tranquility of Kirkstone Foot. So peaceful with a lovely outlook yet still in the heart of shops, restaurants and pubs. Staff are so knowledgeable and go out of their way to make your holiday experience special. Any phone calls and...

We are just back from a lovely holiday staying at the Kirkstone Pass Holiday apartments. I am somewhat confused by the remarks for the last two visitors. We have stayed at these apartments every year in December for the last 8-10 years. I have never found any one in the office to be rude, infact the complete opposite. I guess...

My request to make a booking should have told me to be aware, phone calls not answered, I left a message but no return call, do they want my business. I tried again and did at last get through and made our reservation. In due course they sent me via email a different guests confirmation and that person's payment details...

We stayed in the apartment named Bassenthwaite which was clean and had pleasant views but I cannot recommend for several reasons. The main problem with this apartment is that there are 3 descending steps immediately on opening the front door and it was a constant source of stress that one of us would forget and tumble down the steps. The...

We've just returned from our third stay at these apartments and as before, we have really enjoyed our visit. The standard of cleanliness is much higher than we've experienced in many other apartments and a short walk down Peggy Hill means that you can be in the centre of town within a few minutes, even though the location of the...

Have been coming to these apartments for a few years now. All very nice, we use the dog friendly ones, very well looked after and managed. Home from home. Location is excellent for bars and restaurants.

We just stayed in one of the Kirkstone Foot apartments for 4 nights. We wanted self catering as we had spent a few nights in Bed and Breakfasts and wanted more space. The location was perfect just a short walk from the centre of Ambleside. No need to take a car into the town when everything is so close and...
