A fine old inn with comfortable but small rooms. Dining was mainly in the bar, fairly basic pub food, fairly priced but you would need to be a football fan to enjoy the constant tv coverage.

Great pub with a great atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks. Good service. Brilliant band. Would recommend a visit if you are staying in the area. We didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on the food.
We spent two nights here, the curtain was hanging off and I had to ask twice for it to be repaired.
The bath in the bathroom was coming away from the wall and when you stood in the bath for a shower it moved.
We stayed here on the bank holiday; me, my partner and our son who is 3 months of age. It's a pub hotel so the standards at this hotel are just as expected, if not a bit better.

Stayed a couple of nights here. We were met by a very pleasant young man on arrival. We were in a room on the 2nd floor (fair few stairs) The Room overlooked the road. Standard furnishings, clean, towels and a decent shower.
