Shelia runs this B&B as if she were inviting you into her home....cos she is really. There's a warm welcome, the lounge is kept warm with the wood burner and is for guest use exclusively, with drip tray, drying room and rack for muddy boots and coats not far away. Her freshly cooked breakfast is to rival anywhere and starts...

After a six hour journey, we arrived to a warm welcome from Sheila and some of her lovely homemade cake. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the jar of homemade shortbread, which was so yummy, was difficult to resist. Unfortunately, both of us had been under the weather for a few days before we arrived, so our appetites...

What an absolute pleasure to stay in this beautifully clean and well appointed cottage with the most amazing views. Comfortable, warm and welcoming. We found home made lemon drizzle cake and tea/coffee/milk on arrival. The underfloor heating was a real bonus, and the beds were blissful. Really can't think of anything that could be improved. Lovely walks from the doorstep,...

We loved staying here, Sheila really looked after us! We loved B&B's homely character with log burner and sherry. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on, in a long time. The farm is in a lovely location, very peaceful. Thanks for spoiling Andy and I!

We spent three nights in this wonderful place. Everything about it is perfectly planned and presented: the detailed furnishings, the carefully prepared food, both for the vegetarian and the coeliac; thoughtful local information and generally warm but unobtrusive hospitality made this the best B&B we've ever stayed in. And the weather! How did lovely proprietor, Sheila Briggs, arrange such a...

We stayed at High Wray Farm for 4 nights during our 2 week trip to the Lake District. Sheila made us feel welcome the moment we arrived at her lovely farm with a nice cup of tea and lemon drizzle cake. Since we were 2 families with children we booked all the 3 rooms of the farm which were spotlessly...
