My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in January 2017. We travel up to the Lakes regularly and booked this place last minute because it was a wee bit cold for our usual camping or pods. We were not disappointed... we have discovered a new amazing place to stay. We stayed in the smallest of the 3 doubles...

Three of us stayed with Sue for three days and had a very memorable time. Sue treated us like royalty with a high quality traditional breakfast each morning, crisp ironed bed sheets which were turned down each evening, a homely log fire every night, and a brilliant packed lunch each day which we asked to be filled with copious hot...

Couldn't recommend this place any more, it was a delight to stay here and the room (which was the smallest) was so clean and comfy and I can't wait to go back, it is a great location and the owner waited up until 1130 as we were stuck in traffic for us to arrive. Really lovely breakfast and the share...

After another day walking the Cumbria way, we were welcomed into a toastie, cosie old English cottage. Sue presented us with tea and cake on arrival. With views of the valley from the windows and endless amounts of hot water for the bath and shower. Rooms were emaculate and the bathroom modern and up to date. Would definitely visit again.

We booked this lovely farmhouse bed and breakfast for 1 night and it was spotlessly clea, warm and cosy. There is a residents lounge with TV but no TVs in the bedrooms and no en suite as far as I know. We were given tea and homemade cakes on arrival and good recommendations for dinner. Our room was directly above...

A roaring fire welcomed us to this gem of a Cumbian farm and Sue was the perfect host. 5 minutes walk to two good places to eat and a fabulous breakfast ensued we had booked the place for us. Shared facilities but as we were the only guests there was no issue.

Just a great all round stay! Felt welcome from the off, Sue and Eric were just brilliant! Stayed for three nights for a wedding down at new dungeon ghyll! Basic with separate bathrooms but clean and very good breakfast! And lovely to have only a few guests to share it all with! Sue is friendly and accommodating! And the sun...

Exactly what you want & expect from a farmhouse B&B in the lakes. Comfortable bed, gallons of hot water & a freshly cooked full English breakfast. Just seconds from the pub also. Nothing is to much trouble for Sue the charming host. A special touch was received the morning after a very wet night spent wild camping on the fells...

Sue and Eric have created a fantastic place to enjoy the Lakes and Great Langdale in particular, so welcoming and truly warm people with quality accommodation that mirrors the beautiful and tranquil surroundings and a breakfast to die for. Sue is the consummate hostess for which nothing seems too much. I can whole heartedly recommend this B&B

“There are a limited number of rooms but I think whatever one you got would be fine. Bed was made up and towels were replaced every day. A service you don't get in a lot of other places.”
