Excellent. The only way to describe my stay at the Castle House Guest House. My room was clean and tidy with complimentary tea/coffee making facilities and shampoo etc. Breakfast is normally served from 07:00 but as I had to leave early the proprietor offered to serve my breakfast earlier, which suited me. Next time I’m staying in Dover this would... More

This is a small guest house with a great location between Dover Castle and a number of restaurants. We stayed here for one night before a Disney cruise and would stay here again. The rooms are clean, airy and bright, and the breakfast is delicious. You can walk to Dover Castle (although it is uphill and up some steps) in... More

First hint that this was not going to be pleasant...Homeless people hanging out nearby. Second hint---no foyer. We were greeted at the door and told our room was up the VERY narrow stairs (one couldn't get a mid-sized bag, let alone a full sized suitcase up those stairs!) to our room. The room---tiny by European standards, uncomfortable bed, outdated bathroom... More

We needed an overnight stop before the morning ferry to Dunkirk and booked this guest house in advance. It was easy to find and there was ample on-street parking right outside. The owner, Sharon, greeted us cordially and was generally very helpful, especially in helping us decide where to have an evening meal; we had arrived early evening. As with... More

We stayed here for one night before catching the ferry to France and found this a charming little B&B. There is plenty of free parking on the road nearby, the room was spacious, the bed was comfy & the breakfast was fab! We paid £75 for one night B&B and would recommend this guest house.

I've stayed here on many occasions and I can definitely say that this is best B&B that I've ever stayed in. Rooms are prettily decorated and clean. Beds are comfortable and the best thing is the warm welcome from the proprietors. Sharon is brilliant at making you feel welcome and well attended but without the crowding-feeling that I've experienced previously... More

We stayed one night. We checked in shortly after the 4 pm check-in time and were met promptly and shown our room. The room was clean and bright and had neutral, calming decor. The bathroom was small but served its purpose. The bed was firm and comfortable, the sheets were crisp and smelled nice and clean. Wifi was fast, breakfast... More

Great 1 night experience throughout. My mate and I had a small but cosy and very clean twin room in the attic with newly refurbished en suite bathroom. Breakfast was great as mentioned in various previous guest review. Sharon is a lovely lady whom we had a nice conversation at the breakfast. Nothing to fault apart from Dover being quite... More

I only stayed the one night, but the room, facilities and location were great. If you are in Dover to see the castle or white cliffs, then this is the best place to stay. It's a 5 min walk to the castle itself and close to the beginning of the white cliffs walking trail. If not, come for the amazing... More
