Good accomodation for not demanding guests. Good for short time staying. Very small rooms, no or very small wardrobe. Good location. Free parking, howerver you have to move your car from one side of the street to the other within certain hours. One can order breakfast night before.

Tiny room, cheap, towels, uncomfortable bed, 2 tea bags (really ?!) check-in and check out times non- negotiable. All in all a dreadful experience. We were caught in the recent traffic/ferry carnage at Dover on the first day it happened. We left Bristol and let the owners know we would be arriving at about 9pm. Arriving at Dover in good...

Least hospitable person in hospitality. I met a friend in Dover, and brought him along to my booking because he hadn't found a place to stay yet. Hoping that we could add a cot to the room, or that maybe they had an extra room. The owner was unbelievably unhelpful, callous, and downright rude. My friend was not allowed in...

Turn right out of the station, up the steps, cross the road and you are there. We had only booked for one night as we were moving on anyway but found it comfortable. Our room was small but, for the 1 night, that didn't matter. Breakfast is an extra cost to the overnight charge because the owner finds that many...

Great location, right by train station. Parking a bit tricky, but not a huge problem. Thea was really friendly and helpful, and place has a nice atmosphere. Room was a bit small, but beds comfy and everywhere was very clean :)

We booked two rooms at St Alban B&B. The outside of the house is very neat and tidy as too inside, but the rooms are minute. We had a double room which had a double bed in it without much room to move about. My husband had to walk sideways to get around the bed. What I thought was a...

we stayed here overnight before getting the ferry to France. It was ideal for this purpose as it was clean and inexpensive but the room was extremely small and I kept knocking my toe and knee on the corner of the bed!I left a charger behind and on our way back we rang and then collected it which is an...

Check in is from 4pm onwards, meaning that we had to wander around town with our bags until then, since we were early. The same happened the day after, as nobody would have been at the reception to give us our bags back before 4pm. This doesn't make the general atmosphere very welcoming. The room was tiny, the walls very...

Because we wanted to see as much as possible of Great Britain as possible with our Britrail pass (which overall was a wonderfully positive experience), I booked Monday night, 9 June in Dover, with a stay at the St. Albans Guest House. Our rooms were clean. The 17 steps to the front door from the sidewalk was the first indication...
