We were attending a wedding evening party, being held at The Holiday Inn, Chatham. We decided not to Tay there but went for this hotel. The check in was quick and friendly. The decoration is of a modern green variety which flows from the corridor into the bedroom. Inside the room the room was on a small plinth so you...

We are a family of 4 (Mum, Dad, 4 year old and 2 year old) and we stayed one Saturday night here. We paid for the most expensive room (because we needed the floor space for kids) with the balcony and it was lovely. The balcony area was safe with a wonderful view of the boats in the estuary. The...

Having been very disappointed on a previous (pre renovation) visit, we decided to try the Ship and Trades again, as we were going to the cinema and it's convenient for that. We were pleasantly surprised - the food was very much better this time (is there a new chef?), and the service was also pretty good. It's not too expensive...

Had a lovely cooked breakfast, poached eggs on point , lovely fresh produce. Had a lovely waitress, who was polite and attentive , think her name was Emily ?? The couple on an adjacent table where very rude and dismissive of her. She was very professional and smiled through the service, I made a point of saying thank you and...

I can't fault this place because as a bar it is absolutely brilliant. The service is always friendly and very welcoming. The only problem is the food isn't any better than a standard Wetherspoons and is twice the price. Go here for an evening for a few drinks but wouldn't bother eating here.

From the outside, the Ship & Trades building doesn't have a lot of kerb appeal. Inside however is a different story; a very sympathetically and tastefully restored building unfolds. On the ground floor is the bar and restaurant with big windows giving nice views of the marina area. Lots of nautical features as you would expect. Check in was swift...

We came for a meal then to meet friends. This is a lovely place to spend an evening and was most disappointed to find that so many people had kids that were running around and behaving in a way that children in pubs should not! As a parent myself, I would not let my children be making the amount of...

It has been some time since we last visited is pub and it had definitely. Hanged - for the better. There is now a definite restaurant area separate from the bar and the decor certainly fitted the ambience of the pub and area - nautical. The meal was very good as was the service. Excellent value for money

This is not really a hotel,, more a pub with rooms. Even so, it has a wonderful location, overlooking the marina at Chatham. It's somewhat quirky; an old waterfront warehouse, most imaginatively transformed into bars, eating areas and bedrooms.. It appeared at first site to offer a lot but sadly failed in some areas. Possibly the sale of food and drinks...
