Just returned from a great two night break in Canterbury. The lodge is superb base to see the cobble stoned lanes with the many restaurants, cafe's and pubs along with a great verity of large shop brands and smaller independent outlets. Your stay is in the grounds of the Cathedral itself and includes unlimited access to this splendid iconic building....

Fabulous location next to the cathedral. Clean and tidy bedrooms, we overlooked the street but there were no problems with noise. Wonderful breakfast with everything you need. Staff were all cheery and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend, I will certainly stay again.

This venue was booked for our staff Christmas meal. The booking was easy and special requests for diets accommodated. A smart venue, with staff who were very helpful and efficient. The selection at the bar is limited, and the wine chosen and paid for before we went in for dinner. Not a vast wine selection. The meal was pre-paid, and...

Had a two day retreat and additional day meeting with work at the Cathedral Lodge and have to say that all the staff were really helpful, from start to finish. The accommodation was great - comfy, very clean, and had all the things you would need for a night (or two) stay. The conference centre was also great - good...

A lovely hotel set in the cathedral grounds - in the centre of Canterbury but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Superb room and an excellent choice for breakfast. And of course convenient for visits to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

One night stay. Very comfortable. Clean. Felt very safe. Quiet as in grounds of Cathedral (bells rang at 8am, this wasok for us as already up). Amazong breakfast. Great location for City tour. Call in advace to arrange parking at additional charge (understandable considering location). Small room (we had standard double with cathedral view). Having said that all that we...

This was our second stay here. It's lovely comfortable, welcoming spotlessly clean accommodation. The breakfast is a delight and there is a small library with squishy sofas to relax in with the newspapers. A wonderful haven in a very unique location.

Civilised and understated hotel in the Cathedral grounds. Being a University city, students noisily run riot in the central area most evenings - but not in the Cathedral area due to 24 hour security and a massive gate which is open only to residents (including those in the Lodge) or bona fide visitors after 2100 hours. I'm not curmudgeonly, but...
