Had a one night stay at Ersham Lodge, and would happily recommend. Our welcome was friendly, room was nice and quiet and breakfast superb. Our host we always helpful and friendly and they made our weekend even better. Although we only live about 20 miles away a weekend break in Canterbury is always a joy. Next time we will defiantly...

Elaine could not have been more helpful, let us into our rooms early so that we could get to our wedding with plenty of time to spare. the decoration is a little dated but if you take into account the lovely breakfast they supplied, and if you wanted more it was available. we were four guests, two who were elderly and...

A group of friends and I ended up in Canterbury while on a hitchhiking challenge and arrived at Ersham Lodge late on a Saturday evening. Elaine, the owner was very friendly and showed us to a family room which was spacious, clean and comfortable with an ensuite and a television. The price included a one night stay, tea and coffee...

A couple of mates and I stayed here a few weeks ago whilst venturing on a charity event. We arrived late on a Saturday night but the service was still exemplary and the owner was very kind and pleasant to us. We had a lovely night sleep with no disturbance and a full cooked breakfast in the morning, all for...

Stayed at Ersham Lodge in order to attend a job interview in the City - the location was really good, with sufficient parking and just a 5 min walk into the town centre. The room I stayed in was comfortable with everything I needed for my stay - tea, coffee, ensuite facilities and TV. Owners were lovely and went out...

The one + about this establishment is it's proximity to the City centre/Cathedral. But beware! The photos and description on the website do not match the reality. The bedroom was in a state of decorative disrepair: torn wallpaper, cobwebs hanging from the walls, stained tea-tray (and milk cartons 3 months out-of-date). The ensuite bathroom door had no catch so could...

Credit where credit is due. The breakfasts were lovely and served by a true gentleman. Location was walking distance to city centre which was a plus. Unfortuntely that is where the accolades end. Ersham Lodge advertises itself on the website as having delightfully appointed public areas and bedrooms which have been carefully and tastefully re-modeled. Pictures on the website seem...
