Whether it be the train station the shops, car parking or the Marlowe theatre none are more than five minutes walk away. The room was spotlessly clean and we loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. breakfast, well, fantastic, loads of choices "proper" bread toast, I can't speak highly enough of it. The...

I'm updating my review of a year and a half ago having stayed for a couple of days for my daughter's graduation. It was very good before but faultless this time round. The rooms were nicely furnished and very comfortable, without any of the bar noise other guests have mentioned. The food was fantastic, in particular the breakfast, plus the...

Such a great location, you can park the car in public car park (£6 permit per day) & just walk everywhere . All very clean, food is delicious, especially the breakfast. Staff were really lovely, very friendly. There is a bit of noise from the pub, but I would definitely go back again.

I was visiting Canterbury to see a production of Hair! at the Marlowe Theatre. At first I had booked in at the local Premier Inn (I normally use the Premier Inns when I stay away). However another friend who was going to the show found this lovely inn a stone's throw from the theatre, so it seemed a good idea...

Stayed here on a business trip, really lovely inn and warm welcome, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location in the city centre - I could see the cathedral from my room window. Room was very clean and recently decorated, very homely. I had a tasty meal in the pub next to the open log fire, breakfast...

Booked last minute & was pleasantly surprised we managed to find somewhere so close to the city centre at such short notice. The cathedral is only about 5 - 10 minutes walk through the lovely lanes of Canterbury. The pub/hotel was also a pleasant surprise. Recently refurbished throughout with a lovely good size room & bathroom with bath & shower....

We stayed for one night and can highly recommend. The welcome was warm, the rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was high quality and delicious especially the bacon and avocado on sour dough toast with poached egg. Fantastic location too.

We stayed for one night after attending a wedding. The room was great, spacious and clean. Staff were great and the breakfast in the sunny dining room was just lovely. We would definitely return when next in Canterbury.

Super historic inn. Rooms are all named after Canterbury tales - we stayed in the Millers tale suite. Large and comfortable room, and excellent en suite. We did not eat there in the evening but the menu looked ok. The breakfast was excellent - better than the usual full English, with options of eggs Benedict, Florentine and kippers. Wonderful service....

I found the window sill in bad need of paint it looked very scruffy, also the inside of the bathroom door was filthy, the windows are "loose" it was very windy which made the windows rattle so bad I never got much sleep. BUT the waiter on breakfast duty was very good, helpful and polite, the breakfast was good too.
