Our room, number 15, was really a suite. Spacious, well equipped with furniture, even had 2 tv sets!. The bed was comfortable, and had good linen and an extra set of pillows. Plenty of lighting, tea and coffe facilities, iron board and iron, hairdrier. Free wifi. The bathroom was very complete, clean and pleasant, with fluffy towels and nice toiletries.The...

Stayed for one night prior to our cruise. Brilliant staff and clean, comfortable room. Hotel could definitely do with a refurb and having no lift was awkward as we had to carry heavy cases down the stairs. Hotel definitely met our requirements though and breakfast was good.

Stayed for just one night as went to a gig nearby...its really close to the uni as well so I got the chance to pay a visit to some old haunts! Its too far to walk into town from here though. The hotel is actually quite dated in terms of decor, but the cleanliness AND the service were excellent. I...

Stayed here overnight in a twin room which was very nice. Our keycard didn't work the first time we used it and it was a bit dodgy throughout our stay, but staff were very friendly and helpful when we had trouble. We stayed on a Friday night and weren't interrupted by any noise and we appreciated that breakfast runs until...

Stayed here about 4-5 times 3 years ago. Rooms haven't been updated or decorated in this time. Shower just has no pressure and barely warm. Gave up in the end. Hotel needs money spending on it desperately. Come on Highfield your guests deserve better !!!

I stayed in the Highfield House to attend a rock concert at The Brook, a venue about ten minutes walk down Portswood road, so this is the closest hotel for anybody attending a concert there or for the university. Portswood is a prime student accomodation area as it's very close to the main university campus, so it's not quiet and...

Lovely clean , comfortable hotel, very pleasant hotel, and a cracking, stomach bursting breakfast. We booked this hotel at the last minute on arrival back from Portugal , so we could meet up with friends for a pre wedding pow wow. I would stay at this hotel if I was ever in this area again. I could not fault a...

A hotel very near the centre of the city in easy walking distance. A bit tired in places and could do with a bit of a makeover and the room we stayed in whilst decorated to a nice standard was more the size I would expect for a single room rather than a double. The staff were very nice and...

We stayed here for one night and we were so pleased with our choice. The hotel is so easy to find as you come into Southampton with free parking available on site which was great. We had a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff who were so helpful and gave us advice on booking taxis and where we could...

The reception staff were very friendly and Check-in was quick and simple. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed comfortable. Ample free parking and the free WiFi worked well in our room. Breakfast was of a high standard and although the hotel does not have it's own restaurant there is a first class one located right next door....
