The location of this B&B is just perfect - in walking distance to the railway station, to the Mayflower theater, the Sea Museum and the historic area of the city. The neighborhood is also safe and quiet. Our host was very nice and helpful. She helped us with directions to the main attractions of the city and cooked us a...

We stayed one night before getting on our cruise ship. Close to the train station and waterfront. Walkable to both places, but use a taxi if you have lots of luggage. Parking out front. The room we had was upstairs and bit small, the ensuite was clean and shower was good. Host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Good...

With our daughter starting uni, we wanted to be close if she needed us. The week we wanted to stay was threshers week but also the boat show was on so everywhere was either booked or a fortune! Abbey lodge was perfect for a couple of nights. Clean and tidy, fab breakfast in the morning and relatively central. Free parking...

Stayed for 1 night on our way to the Isle of Wight. The place is spotless. Not a high tech hotel but what do you expect with tiny prices and a city centre location. The land lady was really helpful, even though my husband deserved a kick during the night!!! I think she does the whole thing by herself. Well...

We were happy with our stay; we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was based in the photos and some of the reviews! The room was spacious with two chests of drawers and a wardrobe. The bathroom was next door, which was a slight inconvenience, but there was a sink in the room. Very warm welcome, the landlady...

Having read the online reviews (in the car...on the way to the Guest House!) I would be lying if I said I wasn't a tiny bit concerned however, on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size, clean and nicely decorated with everything we needed (I.e sink, kettle, bed). We had access to a shared bathroom but...

Awful place! ! ! The room was very very small and the en suite even smaller It could have been mistaken for a cupboard. The bedding had paint on it and the pillows were so thin they must have been there for years it all looked very old, dated and well used I am not certain it was clean, certainly...

The owner is very nice and friendly and the breakfast is a good typical English breakfast. The rooms has are a pretty good size, with double bed, big TV, and a zink where you can boil water for coffee and brush your teeth. Free wifi in every room. The downside is that you have to share bathroom with the other...
