This was a lovely quaint hotel. Excellent location to all the major attractions in Portsmouth. A very clean tidy and homely hotel. Gill made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room was warm and spotless. The food Gill cooked for our breakfast was yummy and we had plenty to eat with plenty of choice too. And ...oh yes as...

We have just arrived home after a couple of days visiting our son at university, we stayed at the pier hotel which was a fantastic location to gun wharf , the beach and the docklands , the room was spacious and very clean , the breakfast was the best I've had in a B and B , the host was...

This B&B is centrally located so most attractions( the beach, Gunwarf and historic dockyard) are a short walk away. You sooo need to try the pie and vinyl cafe just round the corner but if your looking for a pub try The hole in the wall and NOT the barley mo. We stayed in room 5 and found the ensuite...

Stayed here for an overnight stay to visit the Dockyard. A very friendly greeting and a parking permit to allow us to park for free whilst visiting. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, the breakfast was very good with top quality ingredients. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone.

This is the perfect place to stay for a trip to Pompey. Only a 5 minute walk into town or the beach. The owner was very welcoming and the place was spotless with a great ambience. A wonderful Full English to top it off in the morning. Great value.

Short walks: From Station, from Historic Trail on seafont at Clarence Pier, from City Centre, from Gunwharf Quays (Shopping?). Clean, comfortable, good breakfast and despite being on a bus route reasonably quiet. Good value accomodation.

I booked this hotel just as a convenient one night stop for a Portsmouth ferry the next day. Right from the friendly welcome from Gill, the unexpected parking permit, and the very clean accommodation, we were impressed. The breakfast was good (one vegetarian) (and I noticed the menu in other languages) and the advice for a waterfront tour, with map,...

We had a great stay at this marvellous B and B. Very good value, £75 for a twin room, excellent breakfast (cereal, coffee, daughter had a pot of hot chocolate all to herself, full English, toast) AND a 24 hour parking space which made it invaluable. Friendly host who showed us the room and its quirks, explained everything thoroughly. Really...

Our host welcomed us to her lovely bright house with fresh flowers everywhere. We were given a cup of tea in the lounge and were given details of places to eat and where to walk. The breakfast was superb.

We regularly stay at the Pier when we come to Pompey and it's a real gem. Gill is a friendly, attentive host and the breakfast is always excellent. The rooms are comfy and clean and while the bathrooms can be small they are more than adequate with a good shower. The location is also excellent, within 5 mins of the...
