We had a family party for two birthdays and the stay in the Travelodge was exceptionally good. Comfortable, clean and good value for money. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good in the local Hungry Horse. It was great to be able to take the dog with us too.

Nice clean hotel. Big comfy beds. Good food and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Near some shops at the North end of Pompey. It was quiet my clean. Just what we wanted. We had supper in the restraint. Plenty of choice at a reasonable price. Happy to go again.

Arrived late as one of a group travelling to France early the next morning. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfy. The room temperature was perfect and I felt right at home. Usual extras such as tea/coffee making equipment supplied as well as an iron, should you need it. Reception staff are friendly and very helpful... More

Its functional and considering it's in a busy city remarkably quiet. The room was basic, large and clean, lots of storage space. Reception was helpful and informative. Hallway carpets were rather grubby as was the ceiling in our bathroom. Huge car park easy access from the ferry port and the M275.Overall, for a stop over hotel it was great value.

The rooms were quite spacious and clean . WiFi had to be payed for after the first 30 minutes which was free. Staff at the tiny reception were polite and helpful . The restaurant down stairs was ,from an initial standpoint ,a good deal with a good varied choice . The food I had ,which was a mixed grill was... More

After a late ferry crossing from Ouistreham, this was a reasonably easy walk, pulling our wheeled luggage. The room was very basic but clean. Reception desk attendant was friendly and helpful. It was a fine place for a night before a taxi ride to Southampton the next day to board the QM2. The extra-fee late checkout helped our schedule so... More

We have been staying at this Travelodge for many years when we come to visit family. The rooms are always great value for money and we have a great night's sleep in the beds! This was our baby daughter's first overnight stay and she slept soundly all night!

Our room was clean and in a good state of repair. This isn't one of the most 'modern' Travelodges but for me that comes with advantages: proper bedside cabinets with 'bedside' lights that work, plenty of space to put your luggage and a free, sizeable car park! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom again clean. Anti-slip covering had been... More

This is a strange review as I did not actually stay in the Travelodge in the end! I was due to stay on the evening of the 23/24th October but due to bad weather, the Condor ferry did not travel across the Channel forcing me to take a later boat which arrived in Portsmouth on the morning of the 24th....
