This was a one night stop over on our Cotswold Way walk and our reception was friendly and our cases had been taken up to our room. The bedroom was small but adequate although we didn't really have room to open up both suitcases on the floor - as ramblers we need to get out clothes and repack daily ,...

We booked the budget Ramblers' room, and it was spacious and clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Staff are kind and friendly, and the food is good. The hotel is right in the middle of Winchcombe, so it's easy to walk to shops, to the castle, and museum.

We were visiting this lovely town for the day and were attracted to this inn by the nicely decorated exterior and inviting menu. I like a short menu as it indicates that the food will be fresh and if high quality. Food took a while to come. I had hake and fondant potatoes. Hake was underseasoned and skin not crispy....

An excellent location on the Way and found a warm welcome after a long day's walking. Room was well priced and served our purpose well, I.e. bed and breakfast. Staff were friendly. Excellent Thai restaurant close by.

We visited Winchcombe in the evening to go out for dinner. The White Hart Inn looked inviting so we ventured inside and asked for a table, where we were seated comfortably in the restaurant area to order our food. It was spotlessly clean with an olde worlde atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the food was well presented and very...

Was given a card voucher for a present and decided to use it at The White Hart. We had dinner on arrival and was well impressed with the food as was breakfast the following morning .The room was clean, the toilet tight but functional. Was just what we wanted to finish our journey.

We were staying in Winchcombe and the White Hart was a very easy walk from where we were so it was great to find the food, surroundings and wine/beer was really good. The staff were also very friendly. The food was a good standard if slightly pricey but as we were on holiday it didn't matter too much

Lovely little b&b in a pretty village full of antique shops packed with interesting bits and bobs, some nice gift shops bakery, butcher. Quirky cosy place. Lovely atmosphere with the smell of a real fire on arrival. Great little car park at the back for guests. We had beautiful weather so we made the most of the outside sitting area enjoying...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Eat, drink and flop in historic Winchcombe. To some it's a pub, others a hotel. Situated at the heart of the village of Winchcombe near Cheltenham, this ‘restaurant with rooms’ (there are 11) offers the very best of British food and an excellent wine list. Visit the wine shop and try the famous sausages in the Wine & Sausage eating rooms. A perfect place to visit or stay if you love walking or visiting Cheltenham races. Each of the 8 en-suite rooms are individually styled and some have feature beds. In the Wine & Sausage eating rooms located on the inns ground floor they are passionate about real food, the great and simple British dishes that we grew up with. Ingredients are carefully sourced and wherever possible use local and regional farmers, growers, fishermen, producers, brewers and even winemakers. Just a few metres away from the inn you will find the scenic Cotswold Way and Gloucestershire Way footpaths. The Inn is also very popular with cyclists and can help with routes around the area, especially via one or two other 'watering holes'. There's even a hosepipe for washing down muddy bikes. Winchcombe is an idyllic base for touring the Cotswolds and the White Hart is the perfect bolt hole close to the famous sporting and cultural festival town of Cheltenham. ... more   less
