Taken here for a surprise weekend. Got an upgrade to a junior suites as it was a special occasion. Fantastic extras like car parked for us; fresh water replaced every time we left the room. Awesome. Breakfast was fine too. Really good quality and no problems that others identified.

Ten of us celebrated my wife's birthday here with the full afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were all home-made and delicious, the scones warm from the oven and the mince pies to die for. A good range of excellent loose leaf tea, and choice of hot chocolate for the children. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and very helpful throughout,...

We stayed as a couple in October 2016. Rooms are well appointed, though unfortunately when we checked in our room was full of spiders. Service was generally good throughout, though the waiters at breakfast could be friendlier. Concierge were always eager to advise. We did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment but it has a Michelin star and...

Dear vdawson, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear your room was full of spiders because this is an occurrence that has not ever happened before at Lords of the Manor, even at the height of summer. One or two pesky creatures of the Cotswolds may occasionally slip past our vigilant guard but not to the puzzling...

We spent two nights at this hotel. It is in a beautiful setting. It is old and therefore not necessarily as pristine as newer hotels. Our room on the ground floor was a little tired in places but very spacious. The reception staff are excellent, very helpful from sorting out taxis to lending us maps! The afternoon tea is delicious...

We certainly do encourage our guests to explore the beautiful surroundings within walking distance of the hotel and there are indeed many lovely walks close by to compliment your stay and to add to the truly Cotswold experience. This was our second visit, coming back this time with friends. The hotel felt very welcoming and more laid back than I remember it. We sat down to some tea and coffee which eventually became wine with our friends and eventually made it to our comfortable room. We both slept very well in a lovely bed. Toiletries in the bathroom...

Returning again in November to Lords of the Manor fulfills my dream of what an elegantly comfortable English Country House Hotel should be. The staff was as welcoming as ever and jumped to settle me in, the room wrapped me in familar cozy luxury (love the starched, white-white linens) and the restaurant, oh my! I was fortunate that night to...

A tranquil hideaway in deepest Cotswolds. The house/hotel is comfortable and well appointed and has a timeless feeling. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Michelin star/multiple AA rosettes dining is impressive but could be improved. The breakfast is the disappointing part. For one of the "best", "finest", "top", "luxury", "most acclaimed" hotels in the UK to run out of...

Took my girlfriend away for a surprise weekend - and the booking experience was very positive - the contact on the phone was so helpful. Arrived - reception was very slick (no painful checking, valet service on car), all very good. The room was beautiful - traditional - but 1-2 modern touches - all very well done. Had booked the...
