We only stopped for lunch in their lovely pub courtyard, but I would highly recommend the sandwiches - served by very attentive waiters, courteous. I would travel a very long way to eat those delicious sandwiches. The Gloucester cheese sandwich was perfect!

Pros: The building is interesting. The room (6) was good. View from front window good. Food pricey, but delicious. Cons: No heat in my room! Bathroom particularly chilly! Staff said switching on the heating was difficult - is it so cold? No, but, I expect my room to be warm enough to dispense with my body warmer gilet. Opened door...

Visited this charming old lodge pub for the first time today. We arrived without a booking, and they graciously fitted us in. I decided on the Roast Beef, and my friend had the Cod. The beef was cooked to perfection as I asked for rare. The vegetables were cooked just right. Probably the best roast beef I eaten for a...

Called in for a late bite...although only one of the inns that do all day limited food at least they serve it. Bar staff clearly exhausted and happy to tell all....felt for her but if you are working then just work. Maybe staff not looked after enough??? Food was good but table not cleared quickly enough....if I had shares I...

Previously stopped by when walking on the common and had a drink in the bar. Seemed very nice so noted to visit for lunch. Advertised as being foodie and part of a cotswold food related group of inns. Feel well short of what was expected. Only wanted a bar type meal so went for the burgers. Very expensive for what...

Lovely location and impressive building, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. The place was also beautifully clean and tidy. Here's the 'however' that drops the rating to just 3 stars: we were let down by the quality of the food. Perhaps with it being a Monday evening they let their reputedly high standards slip, but nevertheless...

Great place, we arrived late lunchish on Mother's Day and it wasn't heaving too much. We found a table tucked away outside away from the blustery main garden, which takes the brunt of the winds off the common. Great location, very popular with families, I bet you can't move there on a hot summer Sunday! We only had a couple...

This pub is isolated by any yardstick, located as it is in the middle of Minchinhampton Common and alongside the Clubhouse of Minchinhampton Old Course. 120 years ago it served as the Clubhouse of MGC but it can trace its history way back beyond 1889. There is an attractive, comfortable 'pubby' feel as one enters. The beer is varied and well...

We went there on a Sunday for lunch and the chef was very accomodating as what my partner wanted wasn't on the Sunday menu. We had a lovely table near the log fire. The food was bang on and the staff very attentive. This is the best place in the chain. Toilets are very nice.
