There were three of us dining, the one who was most fortunate was the person having fish in batter with chips. There's not too much to go wrong .My game pie was pretty poor, with chewy, gristly meat and a watery gravy and the pie crust very thin and crisp. A few warm vegetables at the side completed the meal.... More

Staying at the Lodge next door we arranged to meet old friends for dinner at the White Hart. We loved the ambience. The staff were very patient with us...we had not seen our friends for 12 years and chatted. On stop without looking at the menu!! eventually we were ready to order and the waiter was unfazed the food was... More

Checked out today. Really nice people, lovely bar staff and maids. Breakfast was great. Had dinner on our first night, we both went for a Chicago dog - properly naughty! Really, really nice. Also the cheese board was lovely - you pay around £10 for a cheese board most places, but rarely is it worth it; this one was, six... More

Visited the white hart for lunch on first day of our holiday. I had the fish finger sandwich and fries and was really good. All was all freshly made. Definitely worth a visit and the waitress who served us was very attentive. My boyfriend was impressed with the variety of beers on tap.

My husband and I stayed at The White Hart for his 50th birthday treat. The room and service was excellent and the food was just amazing! Well worth a visit when in the Cotswolds, the refurbished stag lodge next door is also fabulous

Incredibly friendly pub that serves delicious food! Rooms are fantastic and have been tastefully decorated. Some rooms are dog friendly too. Menu options at both lunch and dinner time excellent with specials on offer too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Classic old style English hotel with super friendly staff from the Manager downwards. An enthusiastic welcome at check-in continued with all the young and accommodating staff we met on our 2 day stay. There is a lively bar serving good Arkells ales and a good choice of cooked breakfasts. We didn't have dinner so cannot comment. Because of the hotel's... More

Currently on our last day of a mini break here. Stow is a beautiful place to stay and The White Hart is in a prime location looking over a picture postcard town square and the building itself has tonnes of character. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way to look after you. We visited with a... More

This delightful little inn dating back a few centuries lacks an exciting exterior. The rooms are a bit tired albeit updated with the necessary amenities but have lost some of their charm. Careful , this is quite an old building: the hallways are narrow and we didnt see a lift, however the basic amenities are there, the rooms are clean.... More
