I had a much enjoyable lunch with my daughter at Saint Michael. We were able to sit outdoor and appreciate the view over the churchyard. We were served a very pleasant sharing plate, including some really fresh focaccia bread. We liked the attention to details and the quality of the ingredients / food. A nice lunch time. We did not...

Dear Gerald, thank you very much for taking the time and writing us such a kind review. We wish we could have more tables outside as when the sunshine comes it is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy yourself. Hope to see you and your lovely daughter again soon!

I stay in a lot of hotels. Over the years I have had a great deal of hotel clients, and stayed in some great places for both work and pleasure. I always judge a hotel on a handful of things - namely food, staff and the little "details" that so many hoteliers miss or don't bother with. I am happy...

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at St Michael's today. The staff could not have been more supportive or accommodating of our needs. They were friendly and attentive to my father in his wheelchair and willing to provide alternative options when my two young children were not keen to try anything on their lunch menu. All 6 of us were delighted...

Such a lovely boutique hotel, stayed in the Boho Room with 2 children, we loved the extra space the suite offered. The food was delicious, I was so happy as they could cater for me as well, as a gluten free and vegetarian. Lovely owners, beautiful surroundings with great walks and a children's playground nearby. Perfect family weekend away.

Dear SBSD FAMILY, thank you so much for taking your time to write us such a lovely review. Your two little girls are absolutely delightful, I wish our children have the same table manners at breakfast😊. We keep changing our menus regularly and Matt always has a vegetarian and gluten free option. Hopefully next time you can try a different...

Me and some family members had the pleasure of being hosted by Magda and Matty a few weeks ago. The rooms were quite simply awesome (an overused word, but very apt on this occasion). The amount of effort and detail in each of the themed rooms was staggering. My wife, myself and son stayed in the retro room, complete with...

I can't recommend this restaurant more highly. The butter bean soup with anchovy butter & tempura shallots was absolutely amazing. We went to Painswick to visit the Rococo gardens but will visit again just to eat here!

A group of 10 planned a visit to Painswick and nearby gardens and wanted somewhere to dine afterwards, considering it was an out of season Sunday they kindly offered to open the restaurant just for us and we were treated to a belly bursting feast of French cuisine, excellent food excellent service excellent ambiance

This is an unusual place. We stayed in the Indian Room, which was a bit challenging for me. I am 5ft 11inches tall and was continually in danger of hitting my head on the bed canopy or the very low doorway into the room, which created a bit of a negative impression. But Magda was very nice and the view...

Thank you very much Billy. Our building is a 16th century grade II listed building and being small and cosy is a part of the Cotswold history charm. Next time try the large suits (Retro or Bo-Ho) or the other double rooms with beds without the canopy. Hope to see you again.

We loved this place! The hosts were lovely. The whole atmosphere was casual and relaxed which was great for us as we felt at home from the minute we stepped in the door. Room was lovely. Magda was a gem, and it was a pleasure to stay here. I would recommend this B&B highly!

Really impressed with this B and B. Stayed here for two nights as a rest point after walking The Cotswold Way. The hosts gave us a warm welcome on arrival and the room was presented so well, beautiful furniture and ornamentation. Received the same warm welcome at breakfast which was delicious with lots of choices. Highly recommend staying here.
