Working on the river Thames all my life I have always wanted to visit its source, (it is not sign posted )what better place to start than a pint and excellent meal in the pub, " Thames Head Inn " where the friendly staff gave us directions. I did note that they also provide accommodation which would have been ideal...

I have stayed at The Thames Head Inn at a number of occasions as I love the friendly service I receive every time when I stay there and the food is exceptional. Highly recommend to dine and stay over.

Came for a random drive and stumbled on the Thames Head Inn. Thankfully they weren't full, but we arrived early eve. Really nice selection of food, proper pub grub. My partner had the steak, he loved it and I loved dipping my chips into the Stilton sauce. My mushroom stroganoff was really tasty, perfect with chips, the rice was slightly...

Having enjoyed a leisurely bimble around the Cotswolds in beautiful weather on the BH Monday, and taken a stroll along the Thames Path, I decided to pull in for a bite to eat, and a pint. The choice of food was very good (took me a while to decide!). I chose Bob's Bubble 'n Squeak, and a pint of Arkell's...

We last ate hear probably 10 years ago and then it was a distinctly average experience and we had not been back despite living a few miles away. However, inspired by the recent reviews on TA and the fact that this pub is No 5 out of all of Ciren restaurants I felt inspired to take my wife to lunch...

We first found the Thames Head by chance last year, when we called in for lunch and found them to be very friendly and helpful. So, when we needed an overnight stay not too far away, we decided to see what it was like to stay there. It was a good decision – we liked it. The accommodation comprises 4...

Great food and great old pub, best pie had in ages, just shame service by staff basic, no checking food ok or asking for order or bill. Need to care for customer more, basic menus limited to but some very nice specials

The Thames Head Inn is an old-fashioned pub with 4 rooms in the back. You book a room by phone or email. I phoned and fortunately got 2 rooms for myself and my walking buddy. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, if basic, and for the price are a real bargain. The staff are friendly and accommodating, taking care...

Found this pub by chance and it turned out to be excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. The surroundings were classic old world pub with a log fire burning. All the food was excellent and generously portioned. My bubble and squeak was the size of a bowler hat and came with bacon, mushrooms and a fried egg on top. Others...
