The other 5 star reviews have summed up the wonders of Black Rock House perfectly - I'm merely adding my voice to the well-deserved, rapturous reviews this little gem of a place has received. Simply, every superlative you could summon would do justice to Tracey-Anne's and Lesley's wonderful service and beautiful hotel.

Over the years we have seen many hotels all over europe, but no one was like Black Rock House. Tracey-Anne´s and Leslie´s "home" is an extraordinary, an excellent, an outstanding location - full of grace and esprit and with captivatingly hosts, quite charming. A must for all visitors of South England, absolutely brilliant, fantastically good, splendidly marvelous - in other...

We had a truly unforgettable stay at the Black Rock House. After reading all the reviews we were expecting quite a lot, but even these expectations were exceeded! A beautiful house with an exceptionally nice interior! And then the hospitality of the owners! Just perfect! As a family, we had a separate wing which made us feel as if we...

From the moment we arrived we were treated as though we were long lost friends. To be greeted with real genuine delight by Tracey - Anne & Lesley who within in half an hour of our arrival presented us with a large glass of chilled Chablis - it took the cares of the long motorway drive away. Nothing & I...

We stayed for 1 night for my 40th birthday and had such fabulous time. Everything had been done to create a perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay. When we arrived we had the afternoon tea that we had pre-ordered. It was delicious with a range of dainty sandwiches and home-made cakes. Every details had been thought about....

My wife and I travelled down from Leeds to see an UNKLE gig in nearby Bexhill, so we made a weekend of it and stayed in the Black Rock House hotel for two nights. We had the garden room which was very really good, looking out over the back, as the name suggests! Lesley (hope I have not got this...

I have just returned from a lovely weekend with my boyfriend at the Black Rock House. What an excellent choice of hotel. Tracey-Ann and Lesley are the most welcoming people you will ever meet with the cakes and tea on arrival to providing us with names of restaurants to book into and info about the local area. We ate at...

Black Rock House is indeed a great place to stay for a few days in the south east. Tracey-Anne and Lesley are excellent hosts and we immediately felt at home and relaxed. The highlight is the fantastic breakfast, a great choice of locally sourced produce served in a very comfortable dining room. The room was lovely; crisp white bedlinen and...

A lovely big bed/room/bathroom - and the decor throughout Black Rock is perfect - a nice mix of modern and classic, but very simple and unfussy. The beauty of a big Victorian house in such hot weather as we enjoyed,of course, is the height of the ceilings and large windows - plenty of room for air to circulate.Nice little touches...
