Stayed here for 2 nights in the 'bette Davis ' room, had a phone call on our journey down from one of the owners asking us if we were driving and would like to buy parking permits off them for £8 a day which I though was a nice touch and saved us a fortune from parking in a multi... More

Stayed here for three nights whilst visiting family in Brighton , had booked room only in error as had read recent reviews on trip advisor saying how good the breakfasts were. First morning met a guy in reception hall who we thought was a guest who told us there was no breakfast ,met him 2nd morning and realised he was... More

Helpful and friendly hosts. Adequate rooms and nice idea regarding the themes. Could do with a lick of paint here and there but overall a comfortable stay in a nice location a few minutes away from the pier

Ok so the decor is a little tired in places but the place is more than adequate, clean, tidy with a good breakfast & fab hosts !! They certainly make this little B&B a welcoming place to stay, they are helpful, imformative & as a group of 6 we were all happy & would have no hesitation in staying here... More

This is a guest house - so you should expect guest house level facilities, not 5* hotel ones! As many others have said the owners are friendly, funny and helpful. The guest house itself would benefit from a bit of paint etc. My single room was small, which you would expect but the ensuite was basically a cupboard! One night... More

Me and a friend stayed at Colson house in june for a week. On arrival at reception, we were made to feel at ease, and welcome. we were given a set of keys each, and politely asked to try not to disturb other guests if coming back late. Our room was adequate for our needs, and clean and tidy. Towels... More

Good location, good room, good welcome and a good breakfast. What more do you need? Lovely house, I think the owner is about to paint the outside of it. The beach is at end of the road and there are plenty of good restaurants close by. All you need is in walking distance. Good location.

This B&B has loads of character - wonderful bow fronted Regency town house in Kemptown with the sea at the bottom of the road. Within walking distance of the train station and everything else Brighton has to offer. Very friendly welcome from the owner, spacious well furnished room, very clean and great breakfast. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed a two night stay and had the hotel to myself! Check in on Sunday was fine and Eamon was very helpful. The breakfast was nicely cooked and well presented. The hotel is centrally located and close to all main amenities. The room (Betty Davis) was a good size and the en suite adequate. I did benefit from being... More

I've stayed at this hotel twice and have loved both of my visits. Check in, breakfast and check out were perfect from a service prospective. I've always found the staff and owners helpful and reliable. Quite surprised to see the negative reviews. This isn't a brand new hotel, however it's in a fantastic location and the themed rooms have both... More

“The Judy Garland room is lovely and surprisingly quiet given that it was at the front of the property. Seagulls make the most noise! We had a peak at the Clark Gable too - which has a four poster bed and looks great and there is at least one room with a 'balcony'.”
