A great little hotel - good value for money. Friendly service, room looked like it had been freshly renovated - very modern decor, full ensuite. Top floor, so lots of stairs! Great location on the sea front. Would definitely stop there again.

I opted for this hotel because of its price, a weekend in Brighton with my partner and it ranked the cheapest in the central area. The staff member was friendly and accommodating throughout, he even took some food we had as gifts and held it in the fridge over the weekend. The room was pleasantly decorated, with a new shower... Although small rooms you don't need the extra space with a nice double bed and walk in shower. Excellent price considering all surroundings are £100+ - this is perfect if you're more of a wanderer, so you would only be in to sleep anyway with many great bars to drink at on the front literally 3 mins walk and s... The room was clean and tidy, and although small, was welcoming and cosy. The only aspect of the room I didn't like was having a shared toilet as it meant having to get dressed just to go to the bathroom but this is a minor annoyance. The hotel itself was quiet at all hours, I never heard a peep from... More

Just back from a 2 night stay at The Cecil House Hotel. Booked as hubby was running in the Brighton Half. On arrival we were given a free upgrade to a sea view room, which had 2 double beds in and a lovely en suite. Spotlessly clean, and well maintained, although the tv doesn't stay on channel. There is a... More

Reading some previous review I was a little nervous when a booking I had elsewhere was transferred to this hotel. I needn't worried as this property met our needs. Reception was very friendly on arrival, the room was tastefully decorated and very clean (and kept that way throughout our stay). Also a great location on the seafront. There are a... More

This property is definitely work in progress, refurbished room and bathroom tastefully done but sadly lacking essentials. Apparently for a 2 Diamond property you should NOT expect a wardrobe, set of drawers, toilet roll holder, bathroom shelf or any sign of hooks for coats or towels. Avoid high-floor rooms as no lift, felt ripped off, did expect a lot better... More

I wanted to write a review of this hotel (the first time I have ever done so on here) as I was a little nervous before I arrived due to some of the others I had read. The staff were lovely, including a nice email before I arrived. We arrived late but they were expecting us and ready to check... More
