Me and my partner both visited the Amsterdam Hotel and couldn't have been happier. Fantastic location on the sea front with everything in easy reach. Staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms are spotless and clean. The breakfast had a nice variety of food and the bar in the hotel is lively and a...

Saddened to be refused entry due to having our daughter with us. Not even allowed in the front garden area. Thus two gay men can't take their family with. We were going there to meet friends who live in Brighton. So even though I have used this establishment before I don't recommend for the refusal. Sad that it seems establishments...

We booked via booking.com, who then sent us an e-mail asking if we wished to upgrade our room, which we couldn't as the links to the web page didn't work. We told reception on arrival and they kindly upgraded us a room with one of the best views for £10. They could probably only do this as it was a...

This hotel is right on the seafront opposite the pier and very handy for bars, restaurants and wide variety of shops. We paid extra for a room with a balcony which had fantastic sea views however it was right above the bar which was open to the public and played very loud music until the early hours. Breakfast was included...

This was our first trip to Brighton and having looked at location, price, and parking we plumped for the Amsterdam Hotel. The first thing to note, as with most hotels in this area, is that on street parking is generally the cheapest option at £7.50 per 24 hour period. However as finding a space can be tricky I wouldn't recommend...

OK, there's an election on at the moment. But even so I was surprised to see a Tory poster in the window of the Amsterdam. Hotels and bars are public places, so most sensible owners keep their private opinions to themselves. And you might have thought that this would be especially true of a gay hotel, where many customers understandably...

We stayed here for its location the views and the price. The staff where all helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the communal areas clean. The bar below wasn't that cheap but not overly priced, as im sure you paid for the view from the terraced area. Would visit again.

First stay here with my girlfriend, impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. Nice and clean too. The bed was really comfy but will say the room was a little small but cosy. Weren't too fussed about watching the TV but would have been nice had it been working (room 25) apart from that we both had a lovely time...

We stayed one night and this is not a hotel for a longer stay as the room for two adults was tiny. Though it should be said that we probably could have made an upgrade. This was not a priority because our plan was to catch the match between Brighton-Norwich at the day of arrival and depart for Lisbon the...

I booked two nights, before and after the Brighton Marathon 2015, paying full price, treating myself because I was going to need it! The staff were very friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. Genuinely nice people. So why such mixed feelings? Well on night one when I so badly needed a good night's sleep, there was what I can...
