Had a pleasant stay. We paid to have sea view which was great. Room pretty small but it was clean and comfortable. Did not have breakfast so can't comment on that. I did e mail the hotel to get advice about parking they did reply but told me on arrival they had (£8) vouchers for street parking. This was quite...

I was booked in here by my company for 1 night via Click Travel. Booking said small standard double room with large double bed and walk in shower room. In arriving I was told I had been booked into a single room. I showed my confirmation and the receptionist showed me his totally different print out saying single room. He...

AmsterdamHotel, General Manager at Amsterdam Hotel Brighton, responded to this review

I am very sorry that you did not have a good experience with your stay at the Amsterdam Hotel. We have made a thorough investigation and, after speaking to Click Travel, it transpires that they made the reservation through Laterooms who, in turn, booked a single room room with us instead of a double room. It is not clear exactly...

We stayed at the Amsterdam many years ago, before the current owners took it on, and were very pleased to find that many of the issues we raised before have now been dealt with. The room still creaks, but this is an old and venerable building, secondary glazing added which cuts down the external noise, and although we didn't eat...

Just had a pleasant couple of nights at this hotel and wish I was able to give 3 and a half stars as 3 isn't quite enough but 4 is too much. Very friendly staff who are polite and helpful while the room was very clean and spacious. Although the bed was creaky we both slept very well despite being...

This hotel was really sweet. Despite the cold shower the room was lovely and spacious. A kettle, iron and hairdryer were provided without request which was very handy. We stayed in the boutique room which had a stunning view of the pier and seating outside. The only let down was not being able to go into the bar due to...

For Brighton I'd put this in the budget range (£80/night in January), and well worth the money. Friendly reception staff and very clean and tidy throughout (a lot of fresh decoration was evident). On arrival we found our room had been free upgraded to the one with a sea view and balcony (number 40 for future reference), and this truly...

We booked this hotel for its location which is brilliant, virtually opposite the pier. Reception staff were friendly. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep. Shame there was no bottled water or little packets of biscuits in the room, it's the little things in life 😄.

Such a nice oasis of normality. We had a lovely meal and a nice time with the staff. Peter in the Kitchen catered for our daughters allergy with a smile. A small and very happy Italian chap called Felice was super efficient and the manager (Charles) was always smiling. Will be back again. Merry Christmas
