Am reviewing for my sister in law who visited recently. The rooms were spotless and very well appointed, the welcome was hugely warm and the quiet, tasteful ambience is a credit to Gary and Derek. Breakfast spot on too! Great location, only ten minutes walk to the Lanes.

What a lovely welcome awaited us when we arrived for a short break in Brighton. This was our first visit to the Cavalaire, and Derek and Garry make excellent hosts. We stayed in one of the larger front rooms, with everything there one would expect from a good quality B&B. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order and of a high...

This is the first time I have stayed in a bed and breakfast and it was different. From the moment we arrived we were at home. The room was comfortable and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast was made to order and we had our own front door key. Just a short walk from the Lanes and the sea. Very peaceful too...

Perfect place to go to if you are visiting Brighton! The house decore is really nice and the same can be said for the room me and my wife were staying in. Derek and Garry have welcomed us with open arms and were always willing to help us to have the best holiday experience. Best bed&breakfast we have been in...

Very comfortable, warm welcome from Derek and Gary. Excellent breakfast. Well located in Kemptown. Just 10 minutes walk into City Centre and good variety of local restaurants just round the corner in St James Street. On major bus route but still pleasantly quiet. You will need to consider parking before arriving as its strictly controlled in Brighton but Derek and...

We stayed here for 3 nights in the summer and had a fantastic time. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts and we were even given help carrying our bags in from the car. During our stay, Derek and Gary couldn't do enough for us. The restaurants they suggested to us were fantastic and the breakfast couldn't have been better....

Third time here, and standards are still as high as ever. Every detail taken care of by Gary and Derek, breakfast as superb as ever. Kemp town is a great location, away from the stag and hen runs, but with a vibrant eating and drinking scene. At the end of the night ,a comfortable ,quiet sleep is gauranteed. Look forward to...

Top notch hotel, stayed for two nights beautiful room, wonderful breakfast. Derek, & Gary are wonderful hosts. The Cavalaire is a short walk to the sea front/pier, and just around the corner from St James's street which is bustling with bars and restaurants offering something for everyone. We will definitely be staying at the Cavalaire in the future.

We chose The Cavalaire as a b&b for my mother whilst my wife and I stayed in my daughter's (small) flat nearby. My mother's anxieties about her first visit to Brighton were soon allayed by the warm welcome from Derek, who instantly got onto her wavelength with his disarming sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble eg my mother...

The Cavalaire Hotel is absolutely superb. We stayed with our friends for two nights. The hosts Gary and Derek were amazing. There attention to detail was first class. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. Offered Tea/Coffee/ Wine whatever we wanted. Helped to park. Help to carry in our cases. Our rooms were 5 star....
