Stayed one night whilst visiting my mother who is in a care home. Had a reduced price room as it was part of the winter saver offer. Staff very friendly and helpful. We ate in the conservatory (with my mother) and had good quality bar food at acceptable price. Our room was on the third floor with small double bed...

This was a somewhat frustrating experience because this hotel appears to be in a state of transitionj. It has some great positives - the location and stunning views across Swanage bay, a spacious and well-furnished bar, lounge and conservatory area, a surprisingly nice gym and spa in the basement, the food is very good, the staff are fantastic... BUT our...

Extended family group of 10, we all ate really well and were served by very attentive staff, not expensive. Lovely piano music being played for over three hours, show tunes, light classics and 70s theme tunes buy the Grand's occasional piano player. All in all a lovely evening, great atmosphere, would come again. We weren't resident so can't comment on...

I stopped here last week for 2 nights on business, yes this hotel is set in a lovely area, but £89 a night and 48 hour cancellation policy is behind the times. I stopped in 316 which was an ok room with a good view apart from the terrible shower ( low pressure and 25 minutes to get warm!) I...

We were given the one night B&B stay as a gift. Arrived later than we had planned so parking very limited. Only a small car park with street parking as back up. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. In fact all the staff were during our stay. We had room 201. No view but good size. Had a couple of...

Spent two nights here in early January as it was my partner’s birthday. We enjoyed our stay there in spite of the weather which was very rainy and windy. The hotel was very cosy and warm – maybe a bit too warm as we turned the heating off in our bed room due to the bathroom providing plenty of heat....

A group of us had a very good meal at The Grand Hotel in Swanage on Saturday 16th January. The view from conservatory showing the bay all lit up at night is really lovely, but the icing on the cake for us was the piano background music, with a wide variety of tunes from the shows. It is so unusual to...

Location is perfect. Beach hut included. Short stroll from the town and basically on the beach. Stunning views to wake up to overlooking the bay. Great facilities with a good gym, sauna, pool and jacuzzi. Some of the decor in the rooms are outdated and corridors/stairs smells funny. Have stayed in Swanage every summer for 21 years and this is...

Had a lovely lunch in the conservatory, professionally served by Elliott. Wonderful view of the bay. Prices very reasonable for a hotel of this standard. This isn't our first visit and certainly won't be our last!
