It might seem harsh but rated as poor due to no lunch. Arrived at 1210 having confirmed would be open at this time after refit/modernisation. However put was not open. Hung around for a bit and peered in. People inside saw us and decided to ignore us. Two people came out of the pub (staff/family?) and left with acknowledging us....

Few positives are that it's dog friendly and walking distance to an absolute fab campsite, prices not too bad but when you order the same round 4 separate times over 2 days and get charged 4 different prices it makes you think you're being overcharged!! Wouldn't mind but the price varied between £8 and £14 ?? Also the man with...

We travelled to south Dorset to meet friends and chose to stay at the Fox on the way home. They made us and our dogs most welcome and this is one of the most dog friendly hotels we have stayed in. The food was very good and the staff attentive and hospitable.

Booked a stay here for 2 nights as a last minute treat for ourselves. We chose the hotel as it was dog friendly, the rooms looked nice and the location seemed perfect for us as we wanted to be close to tourist hotspots, but far enough away for some peace! We weren't disappointed. The hotel is located in the most...

We were a little concerned that we arrived on their first night of opening after completing a refurbishment project, however everything was fine - we were their first and only guests staying overnight but the inn was busy in the restaurant and bar. The second night there were more people staying; the bar and restaurant were always busy. The menu...

We arrived at the Fox inn in Ansty following the re opening on Friday 4 March 2017. From the web site you would be thinking that you were going to experience something outstanding. Sadly No. A very hit and miss make over. No welcome when we arrived from the staff. Just told (If you want a table you will have...

We visited The Fox after reading about its recent refurbishment and new owners in our local magazine. We were not disappointed at all. We just enjoyed a really great meal here tonight and would highly recommend it to everyone. Friendly owners, tasty food and a super refurb. Dog and teenager friendly! We'll definitely be coming again. My daughter ate the...

We went to the fox last Sunday for my Dad's Birthday, and it was lovely as always. I was worried as they were shutting the next day for a refurb, but everything was as fantastic as always, Friendly, helpful staff, piping hot & very yummy food & very reasonable pricing. I can't wait to go back after the refurb to...
