SUPERB! Stayed for 3 nights with work. Couldn't wish for a better stay. Room, food and staff were all first class. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully I will get the chance to go back.

Went here again, a party of three for lunch, just before a booked wake in their new extension! Had some lovely home made fishcakes for starters from their 2 course lunch for £12.95, and then a tasty chicken supreme. Others also enjoyed their meals, never anything to complain about when coming here, service excellent and cosy fireplace and candle effect...

Have visited several times, no problems due to new ownership, however on recent occasion fish on specials board was very poor when it arrived. Long wait for meals due to then running out of first choice. Fish could hardly be seen as seemed to be a tail end, sent it straight back and another slice of a different fish cooked...

We had lunch for 4 midweek and had to wait longer than we expected, given that there weren't that many orders taken before ours. Worth the wait for some very nice starters which is all we wanted. Definitely recommend the black pudding stack and the mushroom on toast. Exceptional quality side order of chips

A quick pint or fine dining, our local has it all. Recently refurbished, it still looks and feels as if it has always been like it, so much so I can hardly remember how it was...it's so tastefully and well done. The food is delicious, good portions, gourmet treats which don't have gastropub prices. A wide range of ales and...

Two of us spent a night at The Greyhound after it was recommended by a client who we were visiting in Maiden Newton. Having driven five hours from Ipswich, we were very hungry upon arrival at the pub. One of the owners kindly told the kitchen to start cooking our food while he showed us to our rooms, which were...

We asked for the round table next to the fire in the bar end of this pub/ inn. Nice welcome from the young barman and buzzy atmosphere. Good bottle of CAVA on special offer to start the evening as they are clearing old stock. Three of us chose fish- sea bass and fish pie- all excellent. Barnsley chop very good...

We lunched at the special price of £12.95 for 2 courses. It was excellent. Dining room is clean and spacious, staff were courteous and food was excellent, especially the hake served with samphire. However, the normal menu is much more expensive.

We stayed here back in the summer, just remembered to write a review! All the staff were very welcoming, they were having building work done on a new extension, but didn't affect our great time. We were shown to our room and was immediately happy with the feel of it. It was well stocked and had a warm cosy feel....

We returned to this well-known country pub for Saturday dinner with local friends. There is a good selection of beers and wines, although it's worth avoiding one or two of the cheaper reds. The food was excellent in parts but well below par in others. For our main courses some people had the risotto which was almost cold on arrival....
