Disappointed with high expectations of best western hotels just didn't feel this fit the criteria at all. On arrival receptionist seemed confused to us being there trying to check in , room was just very standard. Dressing table with no mirror seemed extremely pointless so had to keep carrying heavy chair across room to do makeup/hair. Shower never worked properly...

We stayed here whilst 'delivering' our daughter back to university. This is the third hotel we have stayed at in Bournemouth and it is definitely the best. We upgraded to a Superior room which was a very nice room. Clean and spacious, comfortable bed and pillows. Clean ensuite with decent shower. Full length mirror on the inside of the wardrobe/cupboard...

Nice pleasant hotel close to sea front & city centre. £10 by taxi from the train station, but for some strange reason £12.50 back. We booked 2 rooms & both were very good size. Breakfast was good. We would stay again.

Functional hotel, clean rooms friendly staff. Ideal for short breaks. Try for 3rd floor rooms, because the floor boards are creaky . Good cooked breakfast with options. Hotel is a short walk from the seafront via zigzag path or hill near Durley Chine.

Overall I was disappointed with my stay at The Montague in Bournemouth. Looking around it seems that the majority of the clientele were business people or Contractors in the area because of works and probably booked in by their companies. I arrived at 8-30pm to be told that the restaurant would be closed at 9pm and was offered a choice...

The staff were unwelcoming upon arrival and throughout my stay although we only stayed for one night. A big group of us when for a night out in Bournemouth and we were asked to be quiet when returning after, the night porter was rude... threatening us with a fine the next morning if we weren't quiet when we respected the...

I stayed for one night in room 26. The room was smallish but fine for one person. There were tea/coffee facilities (but no biscuits) and the TV was adequate, offering freeview channels and radio stations. Although on the top floor, the view from the window was hardly impressive, despite the hotel's website suggesting otherwise, I recall. Sadly, the room requires...
