This B&B has excellent basic facilities including parking, it is near the town centre, it is very clean and very friendly. The breakfast was particularly enjoyable - and all for a very reasonable price. Wi-fi was a bonus. A couple of friends had a special dietary requirements: one was a vegan and one on a gluten-free diet. They were both...

My husband and I spent a week at Ashurst Lodge and we found that the owners, Norman and Nena, were extremely friendly and they were prepared to go out of their way to provide us with information on things to do in Torquay. We were very happy with the room as it was well presented and the bathroom was spotless....

This was a very sad day for Ashurst Lodge. Fifteen girls booked their stay at Ashurst Lodge through Booking.com. After the registration they were asked how they would like to pay for the accommodation: cash or by card and they all said that they had already paid at the time of booking and that we shouldn't try to charge them...

I used the British Reviera Tourist Board website to find hotels and this one popped up at £20 per night for B&B during august!!! I read up and it said it was a shared bathroom rather than onsuite...hmmm, wasn't...

The room was comfortable, clean and warm with an ensuite all at a very reasonable price. Norman, the owner, makes a terrific breakfast and our whole stay was relaxed and very enjoyable. We will be booking in for...

We stayed 2 nights in Ashurst Lodge last July and can warmly recommend it to anyone. After sleeping in hostels / the beach / even outside of a hospital in Belgium we were thrilled to end up in such a cozy bed&breakfast. Especially the beds are worth the praise: they are almost too comfortable to get up in the morning....

Ashurst Lodge is a really lovely place. Our room was fantastic value for money and very clean! Norman and Nena were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and ready with recommendations should you want advice. The hotel has private parking which we found very useful in Torquay where everywhere is a struggle to park!!...
