This is a bed & breakfast, not a hotel, but fabulous. Carol & Andy, the owners, were so welcoming. Room was updated, clean & spacious. Very convenient location. One had a choice of breakfast, not just everybody has the same thing. Food very good. Would highly recommend & most certainly stay there again.

It is easy to see why this hotel is Number One. We booked a one night stay a day before our stay. The room we had was in the roof. It was a great size and was tastefully decorated. What sets this property apart are the little touches which you dont expect from a B&B. Fresh milk and water in...

We booked this hotel based on feedback from is site. We were not disappointed. It is easy to find and has amble parking off street, although we did park on the road as it is very empty. The building is well presented with a lounge room which lets in plenty of light and has comfortable chairs. There is also a...

I'm a bit late putting this review on as have had no computer, but still need to put this on. Stayed here in September, my god what an absolutely beautiful and luxurious hotel. 5 star all the way. On arrival apart from the fact that we were welcomed very warmly by a fellow brummie, we were shown to the most...

With so many hotels to choose from in a town like Torquay a hotelier needs to do something to stand out from the crowd. And this hotel that certainly does that. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished. Our room was in the eves of the building and a slightly unusual shape but this was no hinderance. The bed was...

My partner and i were in Torquay for the weekend and amusingly apprehensive about staying at a hotel in the town famous for rude hoteliers. Andy and Carol could not be further from this stereotype as they went out of their way to accommodate our preferences. The vegetarian breakfast was every bit as scrumptious looking as the carnivorous alternative, and...

This was our second (of hopefully many) visits to The Elmdene. Carol and Andy are the perfect hosts, and it is the little extras that make this place special e.g. Coffee & chocolate brownies brought to the room while unpacking, fully stocked beverage tray (with fudge), fridge with fresh milk etc. You are always guaranteed an exceptional level of service,...
