Clean and tidy. Breakfast good. Room and en suite nice, but shame it only had a small double bed. Also there were 2 flights of stairs to room, and a third set of stairs down to dining room. Don't do stairs easily so was a problem. Some nice restaurants nearby though.

stayed in room 17 which was one of the best equipped rooms we have stayed in,loads of draws, quality wardrobes dressing table, make up mirror hair dryer tea coffee and water, what looked like a brand new bathroom. Stayed Friday to Monday, mid August. Booked four rooms for our party and although we arrived at 12pm all four rooms were already available (which was not expected) but just the start to the perfect customer service we experienced. We have just had 5 days at the Southbank and I cannot fault it in any way. Ian and Marie are so helpful and friendly, you will be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Torquay. Just returned from staying at this hotel for a week, really nice clean, tidy room, room made up every day. As well as a kettle & tea,coffee, sugar, milk & biscuits replaced in the room every day we also got a bottle of water every day too which I thought was a nice touch! Breakfast was really good too, friendly...

although not very well for most of my holiday still managed to enjoy our stay at this lovely hotel . afraid I was unable to do justice to Marie's excellent breakfast but enjoyed our comfortable and very clean room and comfortable bed to its full extent .
