Lovely place stayed in room on ground floor, nice and quiet. Left car in carpark and walked into town each night. Breakfast was amazing. Hosts very welcoming and cake and real milk available. Would recommend.

After a horrible journey down the M5 on a Friday eve, we arrived at The Somerville hotel. We were greeted by Peter the proprietor who was very friendly an offered us a welcome drink with him. The room was lovely and cosy, it had fluffy dressing gowns and complimentary slippers. There was everything in the room that you may need... More

Had two nights at the Somerville. A most pleasant experience. Our hosts welcomed us into their home, Peter greeted us and made us comfortable in our room, he was very helpful with information on where to eat and the attractions to visit during our stay. Hosts Pete and Helen were very friendly. Room was lovely and warm for November evenings. Bed very Comfy .Breakfast was fabulous. Extras such as sweets in your bedroom and homemade cake in the afternoon to help yourself to was a fab idea. Overall a fantastic experience.

We have stayed at the Somerville many times over the years and left reviews after some of our visits, but have just returned from our first stay with the new hosts Peter and Helen. After consistently good experiences in the past we were keeping our fingers crossed that this change in ownership would not bring about a change in our... More
