Lovely small hotel in a good location. Clean and tastefully decorated. Ian and his staff were polite and friendly. Nice to be welcomed with a drink on arrival. Good selection for breakfast and well presented catered for my gluton and lactose free diet. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

My Wife Sally and I have just returned from a long weekend spent at the Marstan in Torquay and what a lovely guesthouse it was with truly amazing proprietors and staff. The cleanliness in all areas is the best that we have ever experienced and the choice of breakfast is superb. We recommend the full english breakfast which was cooked...

The breakfast was amazing all cooked to order. I am milk intolerant it was no trouble to make porridge scrambled eggs pancakes etc with soya milk. Disadvantage up a steep hill but then Torquay is very hilly.

Had a fabulous time. Attentive and hospitable hosts, would definitely stay again! Hot drink offered on our arrival, which was very welcome after travelling for over two hours. The breakfast was amazing with a choice of cooked breakfast or cold buffet. Absolutely loved the hot tub too!

We recently had the pleasure of a long weekend in the Marstan and found Craig and Ian's hospitality to be second to none, from the inital welcome with a cup of tea while checking in and telling us about the places to eat and such, to ensuring the hot tub and pool was ready for us to use at a...

A great Hotel! We stayed early August in the family room. It's clean and tidy. The owners Craig and Ian are fabulous (as is Harvey the dog!). They entertained our children with comedy quips and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is brilliant, cooked fresh with a huge choice. The hotel location is just out of torquay but not...

We stayed here for three nights in August. This is a beautiful, well maintained property. Everything is very clean and clearly lovingly looked after. The weather was so good we were fortunate enough to use the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, I think we may have been the first in some time to use the pool as it was absolutely freezing,...

Just returned from a 3 night break over the Bank Holiday weekend, and it was lovely. Craig and Ian are very attentive hosts, and would do anything to help. Breakfast is served by Ian most mornings - I believe Craig does the cooking - and the other reviews are spot on, his home-made granola is delicious! Portions of the cooked...

Delicious breakfast, lovely room. What a charming hotel with lovely and unusual pieces of furniture and beautiful rugs. Nothing was too much trouble for Craig and Ian. Craig serenaded us on the piano one morning in the delightful salon, which we really enjoyed. Thanks boys, for a fabulous stay!
