I did a last min booking & went with my 2 children hoping it would be a cheap way of staying in Torquay for the bank holiday, this is not the case, I was charged £108 for a small very basic room for 2 nights, the room contained 3 single beds pushed together & a set of drawers, for the... More

Staff terrible. And who complains about noise in a bloody hostel? Me and my friends stayed here on a Saturday night, when we came back in the early hours, some foreign girls apparently complained they couldn't get to sleep and one being 'hysterical' LOL the manager then came up and stated under the 'good night guarantee' I would be charged... Myself and my brother needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights and this hostel looked good for the location and as it was cheap! Easy to book, friendly staff, mostly clean except I did find a toenail in my bed! Overall great place, especially for people travelling. I liked the little curtains that went round the beds for... Stayed here for a few weeks on a solo trip in order to extend my Schengen Visa. The hostel has a great atmosphere with numerous common areas to meet other travellers! Fully loaded kitchen was perfect for cooking your own meals! The staff were friendly and easy going. It also has a TV where we watched the football matches. And... More

This hostel was brilliant. I had the best sleep, and the most fun I could have asked for. Fantastic people, Sean is a fantastic host and so welcoming. Everything was clean and it felt almost like you were a part of a family. I absolutely loved it!

Stayed for a couple nights with a friend while travelling through the UK. The hostel was clean with friendly staff who were always around and willing to help. Location is awesome, 5-10 minute walk away from town centre. Was always people hanging around in the common areas, very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever passing through Torquay... More

So ive just left this place. There was a couple things that annoyed me. So most nights people were pretty loud, even though theres a sign on the door saying strictly no noise after 9pm or you will be charged. Seems like nobody took notice as most nights i had people talking really loud outside my room and slaming doors.... More

I stayed at the backpackers for 5 nights, although it was quiet it was a really nice experience. I arrived at 10:30pm from London and the staff kept reception open until I arrived. The place was very clean and had all the facilities you would expect. Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in England
