We have visited Torquay many times but not stayed on this side of the town before. The Haytor is a beautiful property set back from the road in a lovely garden. There is ample parking ( a rarity in Torquay ) and a lovely " country house" feel to the hotel. It is very close to the town centre and...

Spent 3 nights here and extremely pleasant stay. Roger the owner was very helpful as was the lady who dealt with the breakfast. Room was very clean and a bonus was it was only a short walk to the town harbour, downside was walking back up the hill. Breakfast was great, shame they did not do evening meal while there...

Haytor Hotel – Review Excellent – we were looking for a hotel/guest house to stay in Torquay a place we both know well and discovered the Haytor, via Amazon. It is very near the town centre, despite the steep walk back up Meadfoot Road! Which for us is much-needed exercise. It is beautifully appointed and comfortable. Roger and Peter are...

A warm welcome from Roger, and a brief introduction to Peter was the start of a great stay. We stayed in room 6 and if the rest of the rooms are like this (which i suspect they are) you won't be disappointed. Lovely chunky furniture. I feel there has been no expense spared with the furnishings, really comfy bed with...

Friendly, clean and welcoming place, situated in a quieter part of the town. Good choice of breakfast, including vegetarian. Cosy and homely little bar to finish off the day with a relaxing drink. Range of rooms to fit a variety of budgetary needs. Felt so comfortable that we are going back in June.

Another warm welcome! Excellent service from all the staff - clean and comfy quiet room with all the essentials you need. Lovely breakfast with a good choice ranging from healthy to the Full English! And a nice bar to have a good chin wag with some of the staying residents, Peter and Roger. Great location with only a 5-10 minute...

We arrived and were immediately made to feel very welcome indeed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the marina, shops and numerous eateries and they have ample car parking spaces. Our room was warm, very clean with a superbly comfortable bed. The owners provide you with lots of local information and they were very friendly. Breakfast the following...

We decided to make a trip to Torquay at short notice for a couple of nights (Thu& Fri) and looking online this stylish boutique hotel seemed to fit the bill. We were not disappointed. We were met with a warm welcome from Roger one of the hosts, and given advice as to where we could dine during our stay, which...
