Slightly off the beaten track - probably not a place you'd find if you were out for a stroll. A family run hotel with fantastic views, interesting history, delicious food that was well presented by smart efficient staff. We had the table d'hote menu at £21 for 2 courses or £27 for 3. Approximately 5 things to choose from at... More

We popped into Orestone Manor this morning for coffee, just a short journey from where we live on the other side of Torbay. It was a blustery morning, but the lovely terrace offered sufficient shelter for us to be outside, with its lovely view down the valley gardens to the sea. We ordered coffee and scones. We were offered a... More

My new husband and I started our honeymoon in the garden room here: a private terrace, hot tub, four poster bed and a huge bathroom. The views from the terrace were lovely, looking down to the sea. The service we received throughout our stay was phenomenal, with the very friendliest of staff. Breakfast was brilliant, with amazing eggs benedict. Dinner... More

The hotel is okay, friendly helpful staff. The bed room was on a top floor with steep stairs. The room was tiny with a small excluded balcony/ terrace. The room however was very warm with a broken fan. The hotel rooms need to be air conditioned. Also the room let in slot of light in the morning with no way... More

We stayed for 4 nights in a beautiful feature room in the main house with amazing views across the garden to tbe sea. Service was sublime throughout our stay, staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. The breakfast and dinner menus were good and the food was amazingly good. Other guests ordered 'off menu' and the chef was happy to prepare... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the hotel was lovely and had an almost African theme running through it, We stayed in the garden room which had its own hot tub and private garden. The bathroom was beautiful with a canopied ceiling and lovely elephant tiles on the wall. Lots of fluffy towels enough for shower, bath and hot tub. These... More

I stay at Orestone Manor with my wife 4 times a year. We have stayed at many hotel in Devon that are more expensive but non better. The food quality is exceptional, and the idea of paying a fixed £33 per person for the evening meal inc. coffee regardless of your choice from the extensive menu is great

I took my wife here for the first time and got a standard double room. I had no complaints about the room at all and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We sat outside and enjoyed a drink and some afternoon tea before heading to the beach, located only ten minutes walk downhill from the hotel. The drama was however the killer... More
