This place was great I felt like I was at grantham the staff were friendly and the room was great too. My only complaint was no wifi I. The guest rooms but it forced me to work in the living or eat in the restaurant while I worked definitely a good place to stay I loved the old elevators there...

Attentive reception staff, friendly barmen and waiting on staff who treated me like a king. A thoroughly enjoyable stay - just a shame I couldn't stay longer. The early morning run around the gardens and down to Anstey Cove was very rewarding with stunning views. Cheers guys

I have just returned this weekend from my third visit to The Palace Hotel in recent years and I have still to be disappointed. Each occasion I have visited the hotel has been on a trip with a group of friends so I probably differ slightly from other reviewers and their expectations. We travelled on one of the hotels advertised...

Mine was the former. The price I paid, including breakfast was incredible and I hope that this review is objective to the reader. The hotel is an icon and in its hay day would probably have been very very expensive to stay in. Unfortunately, although on the face of it the Palace still is a luxurious, and no doubt popular...

Visited with husband last week for Sunday lunch....what a wonderful surprise ! Good old fashioned service, fabulous food, and plenty of it, warm, welcoming and a super jazz band too ! what more could one ask , except a glass of champagne or prosecco which unfortunately is not served by the glass, most surprising as I though it would be...

Leaving a poor review when we paid very little goes against the grain, but try as I might I cannot recommend this hotel. This is a splendid old building but faded grandeur is the order of the day. Check in was ok, not overly welcoming but ok. Room was again ok, but I have a personal dislike for blankets rather...

This hotel retains some of the charm and grandure of the heyday of Torquay. Plenty of space, our room was huge though it was a little dated. The staff were wonderful We found the restaurant to be good too. We enjoyed a four course set menu in a huge formal dining room (this as part of our package) and had...

The palace is one of the Victorian hotels that hasn't let itself go. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the grounds are delightful (do ask for a garden view), the facilities expansive (for this area), and the food - well here's what I had for dinner: Goats cheese toasted with watercress garnish, beside warm...

The facilities and service at this hotel really can't be beaten. Swimming pool and table tennis very popular with my children. We were well looked after at dinner and breakfast, with plenty of choice for children and high quality for me. The grounds are beautiful and our walks to the beach filled with squirrels and secret paths. Useful to have...
