Went for hot chocolates after a sunset walk along the seafront. Beautiful views from the orangerie, comfortable seating and lovely quiet atmosphere. Service was however slow (but pleasant) particulalrly given how quiet they were and drinks relatively pricy!

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, gardens are beautiful and we had a lovely view from our room. Hotel however is extremely outdated, could do with a repaint and some modernising. Breakfast was the worst point of our stay, sausages were hard, bacon was fatty, eggs uncooked and hash browns were hard. I don't think I'd stay there again. The...

Well you can't go very wrong with this place for a great, tasty, fabulous Carvery Lunch. Yes our group in our mid 40's were probably some of the youngest people in here, but the staff were all very friendly and the food was just fantastic. Choice of 3 meats, and no joke about 10 vegetables! Prices were based on 1/2/3...

Torquay is a funny place , very very nice in parts , other bits ...well...meh. This is how I'd sum up this hotel. It has quite beautiful grounds which even just before Spring had fully sprung were extremely pretty . Our breakfast experience was good , lots of choice and with very pleasant attentive staff and some parts of the...

The hotel was very clean however very old fashion in many ways... We had dinner in the restaurant with friends. The staff were all foreign and spoke very poor English, The food was very expensive and the portions very small. It made us think we were in a nursing home rather than a four star restaurant.

I stayed here for 3 nights with family and friends. Although my room was quite dated I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were excellent and we're so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was run excellently with great service and fantastic food. I dined here each night and the menu changed each evening. Breakfast was fab and very filling. The...
