I stayed here and book a double room, the room on entry was the bleek stark and the windows rattled with the wind.. i got this changed
however be aware of the late check out FEE that would put Dick Turpin to shame.. I was told that I had to read the hotel book cover to cover to

The Grand Hotel gave us the best wedding day we could have wished for. The entire process was made easy and relaxing thanks to Lauren, who put together the day itself. We felt at total ease having Lauren and her amazing team in charge of our wedding day and they truly went above

Went to the greatest showman last night, dancing and food was brilliant. My only issue was the children’s parents waiting in the room where there was entertainment. My dad got stuck behind the dancers when he went toilet so when he came back he was stuck behind the dancers. When

The hotel probably was very grand 100 years ago.It is still very good if a little faded and old fashioned.
The public areas reminded me of those better class English seaside hot;s that i went to as a kid. I felt warm comfortable and young . And i'm a Pensioner.

The room was old

On the 1st December 2018 our daughter and son in law, Bryony & Brad, held their wedding reception at The Grand Hotel. This reception was booked in August 2017 and throughout all the planning we were exceptionally well looked after by their Wedding Planner, Lauren Cooke. She is a

Myself and my family are booked into The Grand at the beginning of June and we are very concerned about how our stay is going to be as we have only recently found out about the financial difficulties when it's too late to do anything about it. Hard fo you to say but do you think the Hotel will improve in time?
I really don’t know, the accommodation was good although a little dated but it is a very old hotel and clean, breakfast was good, just the evening meal was not up to our expectations, there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance but you have to book, Rock fish restaurant was really good. Hope this is helpful

Hi, are there many nice restaurants near by the hotel? X
First of all i would say try the hotel restaurant the food is very good. Bistro Pierré is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, it faces the beach just before Rock Walk. The only other places i know that are good are: The Elephant & Number 7 Fish Bistro both are located at Beacon Terrace. These restaurant's are around the inner harbour so around a half an walk. Hope this helps you and you have a good time.

I have booked 2 nights with you on 14th and 15th April but having read some reviews I am now a little wary, can you guarantee a refurbished room that has not had pets in?
Dear Joanne C, Thank you for your question. We do not have 'refurbished rooms' per se, but all of our rooms are kept in good condition, and re-decorated periodically. We do have dog friendly rooms, and whilst the cleanliness and room standard are the same regardless, If you contact Reception or Reservations, they can take your request and action it directly. Kind regards
