The hotel itself is very clean and rooms were comfy and welcoming. Bar area is also very good with stunning views overlooking Torbay. The breakfast... More

Beautiful hotel with lovely views. Evening meal and cream tea very good. Friendly staff and service. Only disappointment was that a supplement is payable if you want a vegetarian breakfast. Would definitely go back!

We took my mother here for 'Pre-booked/reserved Champagne Afternoon Tea' near her birthday. When we arrived, we were: Asked to pay at the bar up-front, in front of my mother. Then told to 'find yourselves a table somewhere, it's a bit busy'. This kinda set the tone, as the only tables available were in a different area, surrounded by Korg... More

A beautiful old Victorian hotel with the most gorgeous views across the water to Paignton. The communal areas exhibit the beautiful Victorian cornices and character. Our room however, whilst large and clean was in need of some tlc and updating. We had a three course meal on the first night, at a table looking out across the bay and we... More

We booked dinner bed and breakfast, dinner was very good both nights, restaurant was not busy so meal over quite quickly. We stayed for two nights. We had two dogs with us and, whether on purpose or by luck, it was perfect as the French doors gave access to a terrace overlooking the sea and a path down to the garden. On the downside, the room was small and the double bed also small. The room was otherwise comfortable with two... More
