This was our second visit and we found the hotel just as good as before. Parts are a little tired but as the hotel has new owners I hope that the makeover will address these areas. We opted for a sea view room and were pleased as it was a large room with a great balcony big enough for 2...

We had stayed at the Imperial last September and had been very happy with the hotel, service and room but this time round we definitely didn't feel the same. The room as very tired looking although clean with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. There were 2 coach parties staying and on asking for 1830 dinner were advised we couldn't...

We booked the standard double room and it had everything we needed for our 3 nights stay. The beds are comfortable, kettle with tea, coffee & milk, hairdryer and safe. Note: we thought the hairdryer was broken until you realise you need to turn the settings on and hold the button for use (normally the cold air button). The staff...

This was 4 days of heaven during a miserable winter month. We have been to this hotel many times previously and seen a big decline in all aspects under the old ownership, however, new owners now and wow what a transformation! Many parts of the hotel have or are undergoing a complete renovation. The staff have really upped their game...

Nice hotel, it is definirely a Victorian hotel and would have been very sofisticated 20 years ago. Maintained to a good standard, amazing location and convenience to Torquay. Highly recommend for the views of Torquay, close walking proximity to town, good facilities. But the parking is atrociously priced. £7 a night for open parking and £15 a night for undercover,...
