Weekend visit to Torquay with all the main hotels fully booked, so tried this one due to availability and location. This is probably the best feature of the place, it is five minutes walk to Meadfoot beach which is lovely. There is little wrong with the hotel, but little to praise either, rooms are very basic, breakfast was OK, staff...

really was not impressed with the single basic room initially as it was tiny....truly tiny..but i was only there 2 nights and out all day with friends in torquay. On reflection..the room was a bit tired but exceptionally clean with a fab en suite, the breakfast room was lovely and the pool area exceptional. The hotel is situated within ten...

B – Comfortable bed - & B – excellent breakfast, well served. Hotel? Swimming pool and several terraces for sitting out, BUT the bar closes at 10pm, breakfast during the week served 8.30 – 9.30am and even in mid-August the hotel’s deathly quiet! The single bedroom is basic and small – and with a high ceiling a bit like a...

I absolutely loved it here. The staff were lovely and friendly, the room and hotel in general well clean, the building is clearly well looked after, breakfast was delicious - I can't fault it at all, I would definitely return and recommend to others visiting Torquay.

Unfortunately had to cancel a booking at this hotel recently and they couldn't have been more courteous and helpful when dealing with my cancellation. They helped to make it a stress-free and smooth process and were able to take away any worries I had with my booking provider. I hope to visit this hotel in the near future and give...

Had a 4 night stay. Room was small but had all amenities. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of choice at breakfast from full English to flakes and croissants. The few staff we saw were all friendly and polite. Within easy walking distance of town and Meadfoot beach.

My friends and I recently stayed at the palm grove. We found it very welcoming and relaxed. The rooms were clean and well presented. Gary was an excellent host as was Yvonne behind the bar. The breakfast was of a good standard and there was plenty of it. We had a fantastic time and will be staying again next year.

Whilst we do our homework before booking anywhere, you can never be sure how accurate other people's views are. We wanted to be central and looked at one of the older, more established seafront hotels, but their reviews weren't coming out as good as the Palm Grove. Palm Grove is at the top of a steep hill so anyone with...
